I've found that before writing something, its best to have backgrounds on the characters...It can help determine desicions they would make, adventures they would have, and ultimately what kind of story is created...

Now, one last question:
Is my job to write a basic Plot outline for anything that is currently in the works, or is the point to write dialouge, setting, etc. ?
